"Drop in black out" windshields made by Optic Armor are the perfect solution to add safety and remove weight from your race car. These windows are factory dimension and curvature to ensure a proper fit into the stock windshield location. These attach with windshield adhesive and look factory when installed. They are offered in a couple thickness and tinted vs non tinted.
1/8" thickness - weighs ~ 8lb - Bracing is recommended at any speed with this thickness.
3/16" thickness - weighs 10lb - can be ran up to 140mph without bracing. Bracing is recommended beyond 140mph.
1/4" Thick - weighs 12lb - can be ran up to 200mph without bracing. Bracing is recommended beyond 200mph.
